Root canal treatment is an everyday task for a dentist.
RCT treatment (Root canal treatment), also called endodontic therapy, is a dental process used to treat teeth that are infected or damaged. The rct of a teeth includes removing the damaged or infected pulp from the tooth’s root canal, cleaning and disinfecting the area, and then filling and sealing the canal.
Here is a step-by-step list of what happens during a root canal treatment:
1.) First, the dentist will use local anaesthesia to numb the area around the hurt tooth.
2.) The dentist will then make a hole in the top of the tooth so he or she can get to the root canal.
3.) The dentist will use small, specialised tools to take out the broken or infected pulp from the root canal.
4.) After the pulp is taken out, the dentist will use a number of files and solutions to clean and disinfect the root canal.
5.) The dentist may also use medicine to kill any germs that is still there and to reduce swelling.
6.) Once the root canal has been cleaned and sterilised, the dentist will fill it with gutta-percha, a rubber-like material.
7.) Finally, the dentist will put a filling or crown teeth over the hole in the tooth to keep the infection from coming back.
Root canal treatment may sound scary, but it is usually a safe and effective way to save a broken or infected tooth from having to be pulled. Patients may feel sensitive or uncomfortable after the procedure, but this is generally easy to treat with over-the-counter painkillers.
It’s important to know that root canal treatment can’t fix all broken or infected teeth. In some cases, a tooth may be too broken or infected to save, and it may need to be taken out. Based on your case, your dentist will be able to tell you what the best thing to do is.
